That's just how I envisioned her. Sort of cute and sweet, with a round nose and big, innocent eyes.
Fast forward to two days ago when I first went to the Dollmore website to look for doll accessories. I happened to find myself looking at their Trinity line, and I fell in love with this doll immediately. Love at first sight. DOLL NEED NOW WANT kind of a thing.
I didn't really make the connection until a day later.
That's the same face. Isn't it? The eyes are definitely the exact same eyes. No question in my mind about that. The nose is rounded, and I just have a feeling that if the doll were smiling she'd have the same little dimple in her cheek. The chin is also similarly round and protruding just a little.
Right? Goodness, it's just so weird. The angles are a little different, but at least *I* see more or less the same damn face.
Now, I need to say that no, if I bought this doll (anyone have $2780 they'd like to part with?) I wouldn't dress her up like Dolores. Some doll people do that, and insist on kind of pretentiously declaring that their dolls are their "OCs." Which stands for "Original Characters." Which means they use their dolls to act out the yaoi sex fantasies they write about (basically). I do not do this. I don't even give my dolls names. I (as I said before) draw the characters to get an idea of how they look, and I don't need dolls to achieve it.
But I can't help thinking ... if I did buy the doll ... it would be tempting to dress her up like Dolores. Just a bit. Except I couldn't find a wig in that same exact ugly bob.
Maybe it's not the same if a company accidentally makes a doll that looks like my "OC." (God, I hate using that term.)
