Today I had to retire my red glasses with the little rhinestones on the side. Yup.
I was at work and I couldn't get whatever was on the lenses to come off. It was difficult to see properly. So I kept rubbing them and rubbing them, and then I noticed that some layer of plastic was coming off the frames. I don't doubt that the weather played some part in this, since anything pleather I own is doing the same thing. Separating from the surface and peeling off. But ... they were $20 glasses and they served me well over the last four or so years.
RIP, little red glasses. RIP.
Contacts now Senpai? =3
ReplyDeleteI wore contacts for a pretty brief period of time, and even then it was primarily just for cosplay or going to concerts. Then I got a pretty raging eye infection (in both eyes) that ultimately (through a chain of events) landed me in the hospital for ten days.
ReplyDeleteI was told by the ophthalmologist (who was an idiot for so many reasons, but not this one) that due to all the factors I had going against me, I just wasn't a good candidate for contacts and should never wear them. I've probably worn contacts less than a dozen times since (again, mostly just for cosplay and concerts), and I don't think I've worn them at all in about five years.
Fortunately I have about 10 pairs of glasses.
Yes, I suspected as much... Regardless, that was an extremely stock Kyolicious-y response. The token anecdote, health complaint, blaming someone, the Kyolicious fun fact, everything! It's true!
ReplyDeleteBTW... Didn't you order a shiny new Dollfie just a while back senpai??? Is it a surprise? XD
I try to give as much information as possible. I could just as easily say, "I can't wear contacts," which would be kind of vague, or I can explain why I don't wear them. And that's the short version. (The long version includes all the gory details.)
ReplyDeleteThe new doll is something I have to pay off in installments, so unfortunately there's no doll news to share as of now. :/
